CHRISTIAN VALUES EDUCATION

Is Christian Values Education endorsed by the WA Department of Education?

Yes. The Department of Education continues to make space for Special Religious Education in the curriculum. The school principal, often in consultation with the school board, invites YouthCARE into the school to deliver Everyday Matters.

How much does Everyday Matters cost our school?

Nothing at all. All curriculum, training, resource and program costs are covered by YouthCARE to support state schools in Western Australia.

Will our school need to provide program resources?

No . Our volunteers are comprehensively resourced with session plans and materials for games and activities.

Who recruits and manages volunteers?

YouthCARE does that for you. We recruit, insure and train our volunteers, manage their clearances and provide on-going professional development.

How do I communicate with students and parents about the program?

We provide a communications pack for you – this includes newsletter inserts, permission slips, information for parents/carers and posters.
