In times of crisis, a timely and appropriate response is needed to support the community’s wellbeing, and this is where PCIR can help.
YouthCARE Pastoral Critical Incident Response (PCIR) Chaplains are ready to provide emergency support to local communities for individuals and groups who have been involved, directly or indirectly, in a critical incident or potentially traumatic event.
Founded upon our core values of Care, Respect, Compassion and Service, YouthCARE PCIR Chaplains have extensive experience and undergo specialised training with leading clinical psychologists so that people in need receive the best support possible.
Working alongside the Department of Education, Department of Communities and Local Government Associations, our chaplains help adults and children affected by trauma, loss and crises to provide comfort, support and guidance during their most challenging times.
PCIR chaplains aim to help communities recover, with care and understanding, while recognising that each community is different and has its own needs.
