Everyday Matters is YouthCARE'S Christian Values Education program designed for primary-aged students in WA state schools. We cover everyday topics that matter to kids in a fun, engaging and practical way.
Yes. The Department of Education continues to make space for Special Religious Education in the curriculum. The school principal, often in consultation with the school board, invites YouthCARE into the school to deliver Everyday Matters.
Over the course of the program students explore key values through games, activities, craft and Bible stories. Topics include friendship, courage, compassion and resilience.
Everyday Matters is run by trained volunteers who are comprehensively resourced with our Everyday Matters curriculum. All of our volunteers are trained and cleared by YouthCARE.
Yes. Students either opt-in to our lunchtime programs or opt-out of our in-class programs. Permission slips are made available to parents/carers.
